We gladly accept all monetary donations. Checks should be made out to “Ladies of Charity”. Please mail checks to: Ladies of Charity, 1122 Broadway, Buffalo, NY 14212.

In general, the Ladies of Charity, Diocese of Buffalo gratefully accept all items listed on our “Wish List” below. These items are used in our ministries to help the disadvantaged in WNY and/or offered for sale in our thrift store. New or gently used items only please.
Please note that we cannot accept items that are damaged, broken, ripped, stained, foul-smelling, wet, unsanitary or with pet hair or missing parts.
Items we will not accept: Cribs, car seats, walkers or other products that do not meet the current safety standards of the US Consumer Product Safety Commission, including recalled items; furniture, hazardous materials, chemicals, paint, mirrors without frames, propane tanks, panes of glass, weapons, televisions, computer monitors and printers, construction materials, vhs/cassette tapes, air conditioners, car batteries, tires and parts, seasonal items that are out of season (Christmas tree in April) and food.
Clothing – Given to individuals through Catholic Charities referral and/or offered for sale in our thrift store at discount prices
* For adults and children of all ages and genders
* Tops, pants, jeans, sweaters, sweatshirts, shorts, dresses, skirts, blazers, suits, shoes, boots, swimsuits/shorts, pajamas, socks, undergarments, purses, backpacks, etc. Note: only New underwear and socks are given to clients receiving free clothing through a clothing referral
Fresh Start Program – Basic household items that are given to individuals or families through Catholic Charities referral.
*Bed linens, blankets, all sizes
*Bed pillows – New only
*Drapes, curtains – all sizes, especially 64″ or longer, hooks
*Kitchen towels, bath towels, wash clothes, shower curtains, bath mats
*Dishes, glasses, flatware, mugs, pots and pans, cooking utensils
*Small electronic appliances: toasters, irons, can openers, hand mixers, hot plates, crock pots, electric frying pans, hot plates, coffeemakers, lamps, clocks and radio
*Cleaning supplies and paper products
*Personal Care Items: soap, toothpaste, toothbrushes, body lotion, shampoo, brushes, combs, shaving cream, deodorant
Baby Bags – New items only
*Receiving blankets, crib sheets, clothing, bottles, diapers, toys
Children’s Christmas Program – New items only
*Toys, books, hats, gloves for ages 1 to 18
Adult Christmas – “Holiday Hope Bags”– New items only
*Toiletries: soap, toothpaste, toothbrushes, lotion, shampoo, shaving cream, deodorant
*Small gift items: socks, playing cards, pens
*Bath towels
Jewelry: New or gently used
Cloth tote bags – Purchased or homemade
School Supplies Program – New items only
*Back packs, notebooks, paper, pens, erasers, crayons, markers, rulers, tape, glue, note pads, Kleenex, personal care items (sanitary products, body wash, deodorant)
